Family Weekend

This weekend was family weekend for all the fraternities and sororities. Basically it just means that the parents spend all weekend with their kids at either their fraternity or sorority. Well wasnt thinking much about it and then my mom called me and said that they were thinking about coming up friday evening for dinner and to just hang out a bit. Its been a while since i have seen them, the last time i really spent alot of time with them was my last weekend in El Dorado. The last time i was home they went to the State Fair so i didnt really get to see them at all. But anyways back to the story. So mom called and said there was a pretty good chance that they would come up friday night and go out to dinner and just hang out, granted she called me and told me about this on monday so there was still alot of time to pass. But thinking about seeing them friday night and the game on saturday kept me pushing through the week. I prolly need to go into detail about this week now. This past week for me was very very very very intensive. By far the most intensive week of the year so far. The reasoning behind all of this.............tests. I had a calculus II test on tuesday night and an engineering physics I test friday evening..............yea thats right i said friday.......the evening my parents were coming up.........needless to say my focus wasnt on physics. But anyways to prepare for my calculus test i pulled 2 back-to-back all nighters to make sure i would do good on the test....................basically i dont want anything less than an A. So sunday night and monday night were my all nighters. Then wednesday you would think i would want to just sleep right...................wrong. I had class from 9:30-4:30, with a couple hour breaks in between. And on top of that after i got out of class i had to go to work till 10:30ish at Quiznos. After i got home from work i just wanted to sleep but i couldnt............i had a manufacturing process and design quiz due my midnight...............so guess what i did for the next hour.................yep you guessed did homework. After the homework was done i crawled into bed and went to sleep. But the sleep did not last long because i had to be up at 6:30 for i had a class at 7:30. But i was ok with that because i knew that today i was done with class by 12:30 and i could then go home and sleep. Class for me was almost over then i got a phone call........................not a bad one. It was my cousin, Brandon, asking me if i would help him by working for him today. Needing the money i of course said yes. So here i am running on about 5-6 hours of sleep within the past 4 days yet i have to go work outside in housing construction. So i worked on the house till about 6:00 or so then we all decided to call it a day.......................i was so glad i finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I immeadiately went home and took a nice COLD shower and got ready to take a well deserved nap................but that didnt last long. In fact the sleep part never really happened because i had a calc II online quiz to do plus i had to do Structural Materials homework and then i had to do some engineering physics homework..................so after all that was done..................around 10:00ish or so i then crawled into bed and slept till 9:00.......................i was so glad. Finally i got a full nights sleep. But my happiness soon turned to worry because in my hast to sleep i neglected to study for physics test. So i went to class, came home and studied studied studied...................................i knew i shouldnt have waited till now to do this but i was so busy this was the only time i could do it. Well couple hours later it was time......................time for me to take my test............mean while in the back of my mind all i could think about was seeing mom and dad for dinner. I managed to fight my way through the test..................honestly it was pretty easy.........i know i did good on it. So after my test i went home and laid on the couch..............eventually turning into a nap. Mom called shortly there after and said they were about 5 minutes away. Next thing i know they were here. And of course they were glad to see me and i was glad to see them. They came inside for a while and mom decided to grip at how i dont make my bed and how things are perfect.................ya know mom things. We then went to go eat at Grizzlies...................its a mom and pop chicken fried streak place....................and boy was it good.......reall good. After eating we went back to the house and just talked for a while, but that didnt last real long cus they needed to get back home before it got real late cus rachel and sarah have bed times and mom and dad dont wanna drive home in the pitch black of night. So we said our good byes and that was that. After they left i went over to some of my El Dorado buddies apartment and we chilled there the rest of the evening just kicking back playing xbox jaming to tunes and just having a good time. I managed to make it home around 3:30 am i just crawled into bed and slept with my clothes on. The next thing i know i hear this loud knocking at the door so i get up to see who it is. Its wes, my roomate, big sister. She came up for the game this weekend. Then about an hour later shay, my roommate, parents show up they too are going to the game. We all go out to eat at Chilies and then go to the game. Boy was it hot at the stadium. The game was ok.............it shouldnt have been as close as what it was..........but we still won and thats what im looking for. After the game we all came back to the house and relaxed and watched tv. And of course they eventually left. And now here i am writing you my synopsis of my week. O and the fun of business still continues cus i have 2 tests next week and then 1 test the next week...................you got to love the lack of sleep.

Tortillas

Well today was one of those days. Not the bad kind but the good. I only have two classes to deal with.......................EP Studio and Architecture. EP came and went, we didnt do anything really special in there. After class i went back home because i had a 5 hr break in between classes. When i got home i fixed me some scrambled and and made breakfast tortillas with them.................it was delicious. Then since i was down to like no clothes i decided it was time to do the laundry.......................and boy was there alot of it. I then did my EP homework since it is due at 4:30 and it was 12:30ish when i decided to start on it. It didnt take to long, about 25 min or so. Now im sitting here killing time waiting for my onslaught of a weekend. I must study for two rediculously hard tests..........................i can tell this wont be fun. But for now i wont think about that instead i will just go to class at 3:30 then go pick up my check from work and then go play basketball down at the rec tonight for a while. All in all i wont be doing much of anything tonight besides just hanging out.

first time at this

Ok, well this is my first time at this as you all can tell form the title. I just made this about a minute ago so i still dont really know how to do all this but i will eventually figure it out.

Today was one of my harder days at school. I had Engineering Physics (EP) Studio at 9:30-11:30. During this time one of my lab parterns was driving me INSANE i got so furious with him being a bum and just compying my work and answers that i stabbed my lab notebook with my pen, not the write thing to do, but anger just took over. After taking a second or to to get my cool back we then proceeded to get through the rest of the lab with no more delays or delimas, we even managed to make it out a little early, which is always a plus. After Studio i always have a hour to kill before i head off to the exciting world of Calculus II, not fun at all. So during this time i went into Fiedler Library (library in Rathbone, aka Engineering Library) to work on my EP homework. It didnt take long at all and i was done..........i clicked for it to grade, because it was an online assignment, BOOM!!! 100% i was appiezed with that and then proceeded to leave the library and head to Carter Learning Center to get help with my Structural Materials homework. While walking there i seen my roommate, Wes Nyberg, doing his Water Resource Engineering homework. I went over there and talked with him for a little bit then headed up stairs to finish my original mission.......................get help in Structural Materials. Upon reaching the learning center i found out that the tutor was not there so i proceeded to head back down stairs to kill the rest of my hour before Calc II. So the hour finally was up and Wes and i went our separate ways he went to Thermo and i was off to Calc II. During the Calc lecture the teacher was ranting and raving about random stuff like impartial fraction integrals and other special situation integrals.............like i said this class is not fun..............very very very boring. After Calc II was finally over i now had to go to Engineering Physics Lecuture. During the lecture we talked about static and kinetic frictional forces present in an object. We talked at how the angle of the surface effects the frictional forces as well as the material and acceleration. Much more as well but there is no need to rant. After that i had a hour to kill before Appriciation to Architecture so i went back to Fiedler Library and worked on Structural Materials.........i managed to get a couple problems done in between reading the paper and messing around on facebook. The hour was over so i headed to Architecture............i walked in and sat next to my roommate, Wes. In the lecutre we talked about Greek Architucture and all the asthetics and other stuff that goes with it................basically really boring but its an easy A. After that i was done with class and headed out to my truck to go to a meeting i had at work. The meeting was short and pointless and afterwhich i left to go home. I got home turned on the tv and just relaxed after a hard day. I watched the KSU vs Louisville game and was not happy at the final score............we should have done so much better but we couldnt tackle and couldnt run the ball..........but i wont get started on that. Now here i am writing this for all you to read and enjoy. Hope i did this right.
